I’m a youthful 60ish and never thought I would be divorced. I thought he was my forever guy, the love of my life but that all changed. It’s an emotional rollercoaster ride no one wants to experience. It’s hard to adjust to being single again, as well as living “out of the habit” of being married, especially if you’ve been married for many years. How do I navigate this new single’s world? How do I meet other singles, men and women? Like most singles in this day in age, I thought I’d give online dating a try. I felt the experience would be an important and positive learning process on my journey of discovery after my divorce.
Online dating left me discouraged. I couldn’t be the only one feeling this way. Okay, maybe I’m a little old fashioned, but I prefer to meet people in person and their local. Why not explore that possibility again? Santa Fe needed a social group just for singles. So I created iMeet, Mingle, Match and launched in October 2023. It’s an in person format that is designed for singles to meet, mingle and connect. the foundation being “friends first.”(and maybe love to come).
